Cliffe Woods Celebrates World Book Day 2024
This World Book Day, we had so much fun celebrating reading! Staff and pupils were invited to come dressed as someone from a book who has inspired them and it was great to see the range of costumes, from David Attenborough to Emmeline Pankhurst!
The children also took part in a whole school Where’s Wally? hunt. The reading ambassadors did a great job of hiding the Wallys all over our playgrounds and then handing out certificates to those who managed to spot one!
Classes spent time in the afternoon reading with each other. Year 6 really enjoyed reading to the children in Year 2!
