Karen Connolly, Head of School
About Mrs Connolly – Head of School
Karen joined Cliffe Woods Primary School as a Newly Qualified Teacher in 1998. She moved to develop her skills further in a special school in 2005, then moved back to a large, urban mainstream school as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, firstly as Year Leader, then as Assistant Headteacher and as Acting Deputy Headteacher. In 2014, Karen set up a specialist resource provision for children with autism within a mainstream primary school in Bexleyheath, before re-joining Cliffe Woods in April 2016 as Assistant Headteacher. Since then she has been appointed as Head of School.
The school has always been special to her, with her two children having attended the school. Karen is passionate about education and ensuring each and every child has the opportunity to shine and reach their potential, irrespective of any challenges along the way.
About Mr Muggridge – Executive Headteacher
Tim started his teaching career at Cliffe Woods in 2000. During this time he worked in various leadership roles and lead on a range of subjects. After ten years of working at the school, in 2010, Tim joined Chattenden Primary School as their Deputy Headteacher and soon after became the Headteacher at the school.
In 2016, the opportunity came to become the Headteacher back at Cliffe Woods, which is the position he held until becoming Executive Headteacher in 2019.
Cliffe Woods ‘feels like home’ to Tim. He has taught and worked with many families over the years and is dedicated to ensuring that all children have the very best opportunities and education that a school can provide.
