Spectacular Success: Recap of Cliffe Woods’ Annual Firework Event

Spectacular Success: Recap of Cliffe Woods’ Annual Firework Event

On the evening of Friday, 10th November 2023, the Cliffe Woods community came together to celebrate our annual Firework event. The school field was transformed into a canvas of colours as the display lit up the clear skies. The event was a testament to the vibrant community spirit that defines Cliffe Woods.

Despite the earlier rain, luck was on our side as the weather cleared up and allowed us to thoroughly enjoy the festivities. Laughter and joy echoed as families and friends gathered to witness the dazzling display of lights.

A highlight for the children were the glow sticks and wands as well as the refreshments on offer, graciously served by staff and volunteers for all to purchase and enjoy. One parent and member of the PTA commented, “Well, that truly was a firework spectacular! We all thought they were absolutely amazing and were ooohing and aaaahing the whole way through! We also thought it was super slick! There seemed to be more light around the stalls, the queues were nice and short and the burger was delicious! Thank you for putting on such a fab event, we loved it!”

What made this event truly special was the strong sense of community that filled the air. It was more than just a firework display; it was a collective celebration of togetherness.

Behind the scenes, our dedicated staff played a crucial role in making the event a success. A special thanks goes to Andrea Trill and Tina Stephens, whose tireless efforts and sleepless nights ensured the seamless coordination of the entire event. Their commitment to creating a memorable experience for the community shone through every aspect of the evening.

Beyond the spectacle and festivities, the purpose of the event was to raise funds to contribute to enhancing opportunities at the school, with a focus on improving library areas and book corners. It’s heartening to see a community come together not only for joyous occasions but also to invest in the education and growth of its future generations.

To everyone who attended, participated and contributed in different ways – a heartfelt thank you. Your presence and support made this year’s Firework event a spectacular success, leaving us with cherished memories and a strengthened sense of community.
