Welcome to Fox Class (Year 1)
This year, we’ll continue to grow our phonics and reading skills through the Little Wandle reading scheme. We’ll also explore a variety of poems and stories — from old classics to modern tales — sparking our imaginations along the way.
In Maths, we’ll be sharpening our number skills and building on all the fantastic things we learned in Reception.
Our topic work takes us on brilliant adventures! We’ll learn about Queen Elizabeth II, discover what life was like during the Plague, explore the capital cities of the United Kingdom, and find out more about climate and weather around the world. With curious minds and fox-like cleverness, we’re ready for a brilliant year ahead

Our timetable can be downloaded below. Here, parents and pupils have the opportunity to view the class schedule to see the day-to-day routine including the range of curriculum that is covered. We have found that children with SEND have responded well to visually seeing the structure of the day ahead.
