Author Sam Gayton visits Cliffe Woods
In celebration of World Book Day, our Key Stage 2 pupils spent a wonderful morning with author and poet, Sam Gayton. Sam has written over 15 books, including The Last Zoo and World Weavers. He spoke about his own journey to becoming an author, read poems and raps that the children joined in with enthusiastically, spoke about ways to begin our own writing journeys and read an extract from one of his books. The children and staff really enjoyed listening to him.
