Meet the Trustees
Please find below a profile for our current Trustees:
I have been a Governor since 2014 when I was appointed due to my background in local government strategy, policy and performance. My two children attend Cliffe Woods Primary School and I enjoy supporting the PTA's calendar of events throughout the year.
I am Chair of Trustees and visit school regularly to monitor income and expenditure with the Trust Business Manager. I am looking forwards to continuing to contribute towards the development and growth of the Trust.
I have lived in Cliffe Woods all my life and attended local schools. I have been a Governor since 2012 when my eldest child was in Year 1.
I have attended all committee and Governing Body meetings that I have been a member of since my appointment. I have previously been Chair of the Curriculum & Standards committee.
I am always very thorough at reading any paperwork that is sent out and confident in challenging any evidence that I feel we should see.
I take an active role in attending and supporting PTA events that are held outside of school hours.
I joined the Governing Body at the end of 2017, as a parent with one son currently attending the school in year 4 and another who left a couple of years ago.
I have worked with schools across Medway earlier in my career at Medway Council, and so I felt that I would have some relevant knowledge and experience to offer the school and I was really pleased when I was given the opportunity to be a governor.
I have previously sat on the Resources committee. I have experience in health and safety and so I plan to visit the schools regularly to review our arrangements for managing health and safety risks, to ensure that all children, staff, parents and visitors are in an environment that is safe.
I am very much looking forward to supporting the Trust in any way that I can.
I was appointed governor in 2018 principally to provide advice about education, having taught maths and physics for over thirty years.
My children love attending Cliffe Woods and I hope to ensure that as many children as possible feel similarly for many years to come.
